How to get the most out of your workout

Here are some ways to get the most out of your workout:

(1) Plan and design your workout for you! This means setting rep ranges and weights that work towards your goals. Do you want to put on mass? Lift heavy. Do you want to tone? Higher reps. Make sure you plan exactly which workouts you are going to hit to target the muscle you want!

(2) Dynamic stretches before your workout will make you perform much better. Stretch out your primary and secondary movers right before you go kill them!

(3) Get off your phone between sets! I find myself failing into this as times, but we have to quickly recover and stay focused. Your Instagram feed can wait!

(4) Constantly drink water/aminos! Staying hydrated between sets will allow your body to perform much better under stress.

(5) Eat as soon as possible following your workout. When we workout, our body burns through our glycogen stores (fuel) and is in demand of nutrients right after the session. You are going to want a great post workout meal or shake that fits your diet needs.

(6) Keep your workout INTENSE! Depending on your rep range, you want the last rep of your set to be the most strenuous rep! We grow under tension and through failure!
